Flintshire County Council: Permanence Team

Introduction

The team provides direct support to all children looked after and those who are leaving care up to 25 years old. The team is made up of personal advisors and social workers who fulfil statutory requirements under the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and looked-after children regulations.

The work is about building and sustaining relationships with our young people and working in tandem with their respective carers. We achieve this through long term foster care, connected persons arrangements (these are birth family members) or where children are placed under a care order to reside with their parents under a placement with parent agreement.

The fostering and permanency teams work in close collaboration to ensure a joint and collective approach to our children.
