How to prepare for an appearance in a criminal court during a high profile trial
These Regulations specify the functions of a Local Safeguarding Boards in England in relation to their objective under section 14 of the Children Act 2004 of co-ordinating local actions for the purpose of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of local children. The Regulations also confer further functions on LSCBs in relation to child deaths and define what is meant by a “serious case” which the LSCB must review. Membership of LSCBs is also dealt with by the Regulations.
These Regulations may be cited as the Local Safeguarding Children Boards Regulations 2006 and come into force on 1st April 2006.
These Regulations, which apply to Wales only, supplement the provisions of the Adoption and Children Act 2002 about the disclosure of information related to adoptions which took place after 30 December 2005 (sections 56 to 65).
