A summary of the regulations relating to personal budgets (in lieu of making provision) created under the Children and Families Act 2014
Regulations made under the Children and Families Act 2014 relating the detention of young people with special education needs and disability.
These Regulations specify the functions of a Local Safeguarding Boards in England in relation to their objective under section 14 of the Children Act 2004 of co-ordinating local actions for the purpose of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of local children. The Regulations also confer further functions on LSCBs in relation to child deaths and define what is meant by a “serious case” which the LSCB must review. Membership of LSCBs is also dealt with by the Regulations.
These Regulations may be cited as the Local Safeguarding Children Boards Regulations 2006 and come into force on 1st April 2006.
