The Local Safeguarding Children Boards (Wales) Regulations 2006 (Statutory Instrument 2006/1705), as amended


These Regulations specify the functions of Local Safeguarding Boards in Wales in relation to their objective under section 32 of the Children Act 2004 of co-ordinating local actions for the purpose of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of local children. The Regulations also confer further functions on LSCBs in relation to child practice reviews (the Welsh counterpart to serious case reviews). Membership of LSCBs and the procedures to be followed by LSCBs is also dealt with by the Regulations.

These Regulations are made under sections 31, 32 and 34 of the Children Act 2004.
