Louise Grant is a senior lecturer in social work and a registered social worker. She has many years of experience as a social worker and a manager in children's services. For the last five years she has taught qualifying and post-qualifying social workers at the University of Bedfordshire and is course lead for all post-qualifying social work courses at the university. This experience enables her to have an understanding of the complexities of social work practice and its emotional demand, and the tools required to ensure well-being and emotional resilience in practice.
Her research focuses on emotional resilience reflection and stress management in social workers. Louise has published several articles in high impact peer reviewed journals (such as the British Journal of Social Work) and in the general social work press, and presented her work at national and international conferences.
