Section 25A - Appointment of independant reviewing officer
Previously, the requirement to appoint Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs) for looked after children was contained in Regulations. This new section, inserted by the Children & Young Persons Act 2008, enshrines the duty to appoint IROs on the face of the Children Act 1989.
