This section is described as follows by the Explanatory Notes to the Children Act 2004:
“This section provides for the Assembly and Cafcass to be given powers for the mutual exchange of information where such information will clearly be in the interests of those children who are the subject of family proceedings and where it is in the interests of good practice and management issues.
