Section 115 - Special guardianship
This section inserted sections 14A to 14G into the Children Act 1989. These sections provide for the making of special guardianship orders and the provision of special guardianship support services by local authorities. A special guardianship order confers parental responsibility upon the special guardian and severely limits the extent to which the child’s parent can exercise parental responsibility.
