Introduction
The President of the Family Division and the Lord Chancellor issued a Practice Direction applicable where a person was considering applying for an order in family proceedings.Details of the case
The practice direction supplements Part 3 of the Family Procedure Rules 2010 and was made by the President of the Family Division under the powers delegated to him by the Lord Chief Justice under Schedule 2, Part 1, paragraph 2(2) of the Constitutional Reform Act 2005.
It was approved by the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, by authority of the Lord Chancellor.
The Practice Direction comes into force on 6 April 2011.
