Slovak (official) 83.9 per cent, Hungarian 10.7 per cent, Roma 1.8 per cent, Ukrainian 1 per cent, other or unspecified 2.6 per cent (2001 census)[2]

Roman Catholic 68.9 per cent, Protestant 10.8 per cent, Greek Catholic 4.1 per cent, other or unspecified 3.2 per cent, none 13 per cent (2001 census)[3]

Ethnic breakdown
Slovak 85.8 per cent, Hungarian 9.7 per cent, Roma 1.7 per cent, Ruthenian/Ukrainian 1 per cent, other and unspecified 1.8 per cent (2001 census)[4]
